Limbs - DKOS 3 - 2 Castle Vale Olympic

DKOS recorded a dramatic 3-2 victory at home to Castle Vale Olympic.

The Greens twice came from behind to grab all three points, as they continue to fight near the top of the table.

The away side made life difficult for their hosts, and they were able to capitalise on a sluggish DKOS start.

CVO took the lead early in the first half with a shot from the edge of the box.

This proved to be a wake up call for the boys as they began to dig deep and impact the game.

Their efforts were soon rewarded.

A delicious Jacob Roberts free kick found the head of Marco Zizzi, who bravely beat the onrushing keeper to the ball and nodded into an empty net.

DKOS continued to pile on the pressure, with Sam Ford hitting the crossbar and forcing an incredible save from the Castle Vale keeper.

The visitors fought back however.

An outside of the foot cross was met with a powerful side-foot volley, giving the away side the lead once again.

The first half scoring wasn't over.

Burke's through ball found a rampant Harry Ellis, who drove into the box before calmly slotting past the keeper.

The majority of the second half descended into a dogged scrap between both sides, as each team probed for a winning goal.

DKOS created several openings but found the Castle Vale defense a tough nut to crack.

It appeared that the game would end with honours even.

Until.

Un. Til.

The ball was nodded forward to Matt Bishop who was up from centre half.

He had the composure to round the keeper and stroke the ball home with his left foot, sending the home fans and players into a rapturous frenzy.

If there's a better way to win a game, then we're yet to find it.
