Delightful Dozen - DKOS 4 - 2 Romily Rovers

DKOS continued their impressive run of victories after they came from behind to beat Romily Rovers 4-2.

This marked a 12th consecutive victory for the team as they continue to fight at the top of the table.

After giving the pitch enough time to thaw, the two teams were even in the opening exchanges.

DKOS were able to edge in front midway through the first half as centre back Alex Diego took advantage of a goalmouth scramble to poke home from close range.

Romily weren't about to rollover and equalised before the interval, as their striker finished powerfully at the near post.

The away side started the second half brighter and were able to take the lead after a Romily corner was met at the back post and converted from close range.

DKOS are no strangers to coming from behind and soon put their impressive powers of recovery to good use.

After they were awarded a penalty for handball, Matt Bishop did what Matt Bishop does from the spot and sent the keeper the wrong way.

DKOS continued to pile on the pressure, hitting the crossbar twice before eventually finding a breakthrough.

Jamie Gregory found himself one on one with the keeper, and had the composure to round him and slot the ball home.

There was enough left in the tank to make the game safe, as Gregory added another to his season's tally with a powerful finish past the opposing keeper.

With opposing teams starting to take notice of the winning run, DKOS find themselves with an even bigger target on their backs - but they wouldn't have it any other way.
